Taste Mauritius the brainchild of Selina Periampillai, hosted over 30 Mauritian inspired supperclubs , pop ups, cookery classes in London, has appeared in Jamie Oliver.com and Great British Chefs brings you a delicious supper in Taste Mauritius Headquarters in Croydon.
This supperclub is a night to try a variety of tasty dishes, meet new people, try Selina's exciting recipes in the comfort of her welcoming home. Bring yourself or friends, our space is always filled with the warmest people you can meet!
This supperclub will be our last one before Christmas and New Years, so do come and dine with us! The menu is a selection of some of my favourite dishes to cook, all Mauritian inspired from my parents or dishes I have created on my own,
*Mauritian Rum Cocktail- A Taste Mauritius creation inspired by flavours of the island in a cup
*Gateaux Piment- Split pea chilli balls, fried till crisp served with a fresh coriander hot chutney
*Aubergine Fritters- Crispy thin sliced aubergines in a chickpea batter and fried, served with a tomato chilli satini
*Lamb Samossas- Mince meat samossas
*Boulette Soup- A warming soup served on the streets of Mauritius, pak choi, ginger and chilli with steamed chicken, prawn & chou chou balls
*Monkfish Rougaille- Fresh monkfish pieces cooked in a rich tomato chilli spiced Creole sauce with fresh coriander and thyme
*Cari Poulet- Mauritian chicken curry, tender pieces of chicken cooked with cinnamon and roasted curry powder, finished off with coriander and spring onion
*Dhall Puri- Split pea filled flatbread popular on the island, with bean curry, tomato rougaille and pickles with green chillies to wrap up and eat!
*Dhall with Coconut & Spinach- Creamy chana dhall, laced with coconut milk and fresh spinach
*Pilau Rice- Fragrant basmati rice cooked with cinnamon, cardamom and spices for a light dish
*Piment Confit- Hot Mauritian chillies for those who can take the heat!
*Pineapple, Cucumber & Chilli Salad- Sweet and tangy salad, with fresh pineapple and chilli
*Tomato, Chilli & Coriander Salad- Sliced tomatoes, in red onion, green chilli and coriander
Pineapple Rum Caramel Cake- Our indulgent warm pineapple upside down cake, with a cardamom infused clotted cream and Mauritian rum caramel. HEAVEN!

This supperclub is BYOB, we accept £15 deposit with the rest payable on the evening inn cash.
We are located in CR0, Croydon, located about 10 minutes from East Croydon and closest to Woodside Tram Stop
The event begins at 7pm, 7.30 approx for starters and 10.30pm finish
