The Festival of Lights celebrated in Mauritius is a feast of amazing authentic food, the streets are lit up by beautiful candle lights, families cook together and celebrate.

On this occasiion why not join Yummy Choo celebrate Diwali the Mauritian way.. a beautiful sumptious dinner lit by candles, a time to share & meet new people!

Come & Join us while we cook up a traditional Vegetarian Meal, served on banana leaves;

Starters:

A Selection of Gajacks to start (street food snacks, samoussa, bhajia, bringele)

Halim/Rasson Spiced Soup

Main Course:

A Fragrant Mixed Vegetable Briani, spiced with cardamon, cinnamon & vibrant yellow in colour

Traditionally served with a butterbean curry on the side, chilli coriander satini, piment confit

Sweet Treats:

Gateaux Patate (Sweet Potato Cakes, with coconut & Sugar)

Gateauz Zamberique (Made from sweet mung daal)

Rice Pudding, served warm, steeped in milk & fragrant spices

Spiced Chai
