Since March 2010 resting banker Claudia Stachelhaus hosts suppers with a German influence in the City. In a stylish flat overlooking London the guests will be seated around one table after having the chance to get to know each other with canapes and a welcome drink. A different 4-course seasonal dinner is offered each night - and after dinner guests can relax over a coffee (or more wine) and some homemade chocolates.

A Fabulous Evening!
My first venture into supper clubs and I fear I'm going to become addicted, what a fabulous introduction!
As a self confessed foodie, I can without reservation say that this dinner was up there with any of the best restaurants that I have ate at, in fact I think this was even better.
A fantastic evening from start to finish, the venue, the food, the attention to detail. Claudia was an absolutely fantastic host, a fab evening from start to finish - totally recommended!
Lovely setting but disappointing food
Pescetarian Summer Feast

I went recently and found the food to be bland, cold and generally underwhelming. Claudia was friendly at first but then soon became distant and demonstrated some concerning service skills which you would absolutely not accept in a basic cafe. There appeared to be some flexibility with menu choices which is appreciated and a lot of consideration is given to the table lay out.
Amongst the table there was no mention or talk about the food being served and people were being genuinely polite by just not mentioning it. I enjoyed the company of the other guests as the highlight of the night.
Essentially there are MUCH better supper clubs around and this was not worth 35 pounds per head - particularly in comparison to other supper clubs. Earlier reviews are very positive however it seems over time that some passion has been lost as another recent guest had a similarly disappointing visit and mentions this on Qype.
The location is lovely and the supper club itself would be ideal for a group night out where the focus is not entirely on the food and you want to keep the costs per head straight forward. With some reflection and refocus this could be a really great supper club again.

This was our first ever Supper Club and I'm afraid to try another as this was so good. We were greeted with a yummy cocktail, great views on the balcony, very clean. Claudia is a great cook. The food was what I call clean and fresh. Claudia being from Germany can make a darn good dessert as well. We had like a 4 course meal and the courses were even written out at each setting. Details details!! Ohh and a final.. final course of homemade chocolates. So fresh and homemade. Claudia is just a great hostess and is for sure meant to do this. I think she should make a cookbook.

It was our first time attending Claudia's Supper club and we had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious and I spent most of the evening marvelling at how relaxed and effotrtlessly Claudia hosted dinner for 14 people singlehandedly! No mean feat for the rest of us mere mortals.
Would highly recommend this supperclub and its gracious host!

I attended on Saturday and was initially nervous as to what I would expect. But I was blown away at the hospitality, food, setting and generosity of Claudia, our host!
I can't wait to go back!

As ever, Claudia's dinner event was fantastic. She is such a fab host and chef - the chosen company of diner fellow guests was just delightful. And because of the July date it was bright enough to enjoy the brilliant view over the canal. A truly super evening, with great food, too much chocolate and lots of laughs. Highly recommended.
Great setting, and amazing food! With a nice view over the canal. Great evening!

Claudia's white aspargus dinners are delicious. Her supper clubs always have interesting people and the atmosphere is always really pleasant.

I've only been to three supper clubs but this was definitely the most professional - restaurant level food but in a beautiful flat and very thoughtful service from our host (for example remembering which wine bottle we had brought). White chocolate ice cream and a great combination of healthy starter and mains with some unusual ingredients made for a brilliant and delicious evening! Met some new people too which was good.
