Bootleg Banquet is the side project of Pieter Maritz, who spends his days running Pestle and Mortar Events, a small catering business specializing in to-die-for dinner parties for the well-heeled all over London.
They started hosting open dinners from a kitchen space in central Shoreditch just over 3 years ago. What makes Bootleg Banquet unique on the supper club scene in London is our unique venue with a cool white room and a vast kitchen, up from an now infamous, unmarked secret door on Chance Street within an unloved industrial estate.
Pieter's aim is simply to give guests a night like no other on the supper club scene. Drawing on years of experience in catering dinner parties, he knows a thing or two about getting it right. Like making everyone feel instantly at home with a glass on arrival, or being obsessive about getting the music just right and of course, creating dishes that comfort and wow in equal measure. It's like the best dinner party you've never hosted.
Menu:
* Pan fried Wild mushrooms, wet polenta and parmesan
* Beetroot cured wild salmon, dill, pickled cucumber and blue berries
* Duck legs braised with plums, spiced and roasted sweet potato
* Green peppercorn and buttermilk panna cotta with strawberries
* Coffee or fresh mint tea
£42 + £2.94 booking fee, for four courses and coffee or tea
