Can wild food be found in London ?
Join Mat for a leisurely walk learning to identify British edible wild food. This course will introduce you to some of the edible plants that can be found growing wild all around us. Some can be eaten, some cannot; some taste good and some should be left for the birds, but which is which? Mat will guide you to some of the tastiest wild food around.
We'll start with a quick briefing from Mat, then set-off to explore. After a couple of hours, we'll have a tea break and some of Mat's brownies to finish.
Please wear sturdy shoes. Each excursion is dependent on what's in season, what wild foods are available, the walking abilities of those in the group and of course, the weather ... the course will take place whatever the weather.
This course is only really suitable for 12yrs of age and upwards. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult. This guideline is for the safety and enjoyment of all our guests.
Mat Follas accepts no liability for:
any injury occurring as a result of ingesting or exposure to any wild food. Many wild foods are poisonous.
the safety of guests when on excursions or guests' belongings.
(It will be within walking distance of Finsbury Park Station).
