We were really looking forward to this event and boy oh boy were we not disappointed! The curry puffs were as always delicious. But the stars of the show were the ever so succulent and tasty satay (seriously as good as the ones you get from Kajang and KL these days - special mention for the satay sauce too!), the creme brûlée and last but definitely not least, the lobster bisque laksa was just OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Such a generous helping of a big king scallop, a massive prawn and an even bigger lobster!! The bisque was so fragrant and you can taste, lovingly made with all sorts of fragrant spices and herbs (some home grown too!).

Host provided the necessary lobster cracking and meat extraction equipment so it was not a fussy affair at all.

all in all - highly recommend this to anyone and already looking forward to my next fix!

The lobster laksa bisque was visually stunning and very tasty.
But I over heard remarks from at least one diner who wouldn't want this again.
I think perhaps too messy. I half agree with this remark. I thought the scallop was lost. The large prawn was totally delicious.
I would like to eat a traditional fish head curry or a seafood laksa or even chicken laksa.
I know it took lots of hard work to prepare.
I was impressed by the layered cake. I ate most of the durian brulee but forget to tell you that I find diary difficult to digest,.I gather the bisque was made with cream as well.
The nasi goreng was really delicious with the anchovies ( ikan billes) really crispy.
Needless to say the curry puffs and satay were great. I had no room for the cold noodles (only because I came from another event. It was refreshing and tasty.

A Malaysian Lobster Experience

This has been an incredible supper club experience for my partner and myself since its our first adventure to a seafood malaysian theme 6 course meal. Our chef was Auntie Mary who cooked with such passion and love that the laksa lobster trio (scallop and prawn) was sublime and the broth was flavourful with a unique taste unlike any other mainstream laksa I had the occasion to try in the past.
Our staters of delicately cooked curry puffs and chicken satay with accompliments of peanut sauce, onions cucumber and packed rice were delicious and authentic reminding me of early childhood eating satay at the Majid stall in K.L. But the 'piece de resistance was the laksa dish and I enjoyed the dish to the extent that every claw legs and broth were cleaned.
As a refresher the next course was nyonya transparent noodle salad in a tasty lemony/lime dressing. This was followed by nasi gorend and ikan bilis with sambal and fresh chillies in soya sauce. Our dessert was durian creme brulee and it was a nice dish to conclude the gastranomic event. Good food friendly like minded guests and a wonderful chef with her team, this is my idea of ecstasy.
