hosted by The Backdoor Kitchen
Last May Ross, the Butler, knocked at the BackDoor and, as many of you who know the Chef, Rob, couldn't say no to homemade Lemongrass and Cardamon Gin.
Ross gave a Gin Tonic taste to our amazed guests and after endless chatting til late night, we left each other with a promise: meeting again but this time to put on an event together.
This is how we spent pretty much the last few weeks: drinking Gin and eating complete new recipes. Life is hard sometimes, i know.
But if you ever thought that Gin is only good with Tonic or in a Negroni or that seafood doesnt go well along with cheese this the right time to lose your viriginity!
Get all sweaty for a night of delicate, aromatic and spicy kick ass Gin Cocktails, made from Ross' incredibly popular Butler's Gin, paired to Rob's riotous experimental cuisine which will showcase dishes never served before.
And raise your glass!
*Butler's Gin & Tonic - refreshing, charming, classic with personality. A slice of cucumber applies.
Seppie Ripieni Funghi e Salmone - Squid stuffed with Chanterelle mushroom, Porcini mushroom, smoked salmon and garlic.
* The Butler's sling - aromatic and foamy. The pleasure of cinnamon infused in Gin before Vermouth knocks you out with style.
Crostini di Polenta Verde con Gamberi erborinati - Prawn, Mild Gorgonzola and Broccoli Polenta crostinis topped with prawn slowly cooked in Gorgonzola cheese cream and sprinkled with toasted sesame seed.
*The Butler likes it hot: Wild berries jam, Cointreau and final lingering spicy kick. To die for.
"One night stand" Risotto - Do you miss the beach but can't take off your winter coat, not even in your own room? Mussel meets Spicy Chorizo and Butternut Squash in this "one night stand" Risotto!
*The Butler's secret spray: A touch of the Butler's secret Port spray gives this Bergamot orange jam based Gin cocktail the right balance to taste chocolate at its best...
Maiale al Rum e Fontina -Does fire walk with you? Let's test the devil in you with Chef's Pork Fillet and Fontina cheese spiced dark Rum flambé. Apparently it tastes like pork covered in dark chocolate...just saying
