For our next supper-club which apart from our Goan Tapas style feast, it's also an opportunity to enjoy live music in a relaxed afternoon setting meeting new friends and experiencing our Goan family culture.

Together with past favourites our foodies loved, we are adding a few fish dishes which any Goan would find hard to live without.

Our Goan Tapas style menu will consist of:

a complimentary coconut water cocktail

Prawn Balchao baked sannas, Goan Chorizo potato chops

(V) Red onion, potato and coriander Bhajias served with tangy tamarind sauce and green coriander chutney.

Fragrant and spicy, coconut Chicken Xacuti

Pan fried Squid with Rechard masala relish

Tilapia Goan fish curry

Dhal Yellow lentil with Tendli vegetable.

cabbage and carrot Foogath. Veg dish with coconut and mustard seeds.

Pilau rice with fried onions

Goan Soul Food at Dos Santos | Sarah Alexandra George

Goan Food for Sunday Lunch

Rating: 10

Beverley Foulkes-Jones attended in April 2014, reviewed on 7 April 2014

Yesterday , we headed down to the HQ of Dos Santos Foods in West Croydon for Sunday lunch. We were received warmly and given a long glass of mango juice and coconut water. Everyone was friendly and very chatty, including a family of Goan Polish who attend the lunch most months.
The starter was a medley of the more easily recognised samosas and bhajia with the less known green masala friend mussels and steamed prawn rissois served with yogurt and mint and tamarind dressings.-all delicious. Mains consisted of a very tasty Pork Sorpotel curry ( usually cooked at Christmas); a curry with aubergine and okra; tasty masala fried squid, cabbage and carrot with mustard seeds and coconut and pilau rice with fried onion. We finished off with Coconut Nueros with stunning cardamom ice cream and masala tea or coffee.
A new type of cuisine for us and well worth trying. There was music too.
