This course runs for 5 days Mon - Fri 10.30am - 5pm

This specialist course covers essential skills and knowledge, imperative to becoming a Chinese dim sum chef. Covering a variety of dim sum making skills; from making pastries from scratch, to special rolling and folding techniques, to building a perfectly-balanced Chinese dim sum menu, students will gain hands on experience in the art of dim sum making. Participants will also enjoy a unique day of noodle making techniques; from braising, to classic wok-fried dishes, and including a hand-pulled noodle demonstration.

  • Har Gau ( Crystal Prawn Dumpling )
  • Char Siu Bao
  • Egg Custard Buns
  • Homemade Puff Pastry
  • Mantou w/condensed milk

Dim Sum and Hand Pulled Noodles Day 5

Day 5

  • Prawn Cheong Fun & Sesame Cheong Fun
  • Making Siu Long Bao (soup Dumplings)
  • Egg Tarts
  • Revision & practice of dishes learnt

 

All required equipment and clothing will be supplied for the duration of the course. Specialist knives, equipment and clothing are available for students to buy should they choose to before, during or following the completion of the course.
