Maybe you have tried baking at home (baking with a bread maker does count!) or maybe you are a seasoned baker looking for some new inspiration. Either way, I promise you that this class will get you inspired and push the boundaries of a traditional white loaf. This class is taught by seasoned baking instructor Emmanuel Hadjiandreou. Emmanuel has a wealth of baking knowledge which is demonstrated in his beautiful book “How to Make Bread”. Emmanuel will take you through all the stages of bread making, from kneading, to shaping, proving and finally baking the loaves. No previous baking experience is required, but a willingness to dive into the weird and wonderful world of bread baking is a plus.
During this 5 hour class you will learn how to make a delicious bread using beetroot (I know, I bet you hadn’t thought about adding that to any bread!). Emmanuel will then teach you how to bake an amazing tasting Emmer bread using beer balm, which is kindly donated from our friend Julio at the Moncada brewery. No stress if you don’t have a microbrewery in the basement, we will also give you the instructions on how to bake this bread using traditional dried yeast. Finally you will learn how to make some rye crackers which will surely be a showstopper at the next cheese and wine night that you’ll host.
This is a 5 hour class. Tea and coffee will be served together with a home baked treat as well as a light lunch. A great class for a any home baker who is ready to take their baking to a new level. You will take home all the goodies you baked in the class.
