One Table is a brand new dining experience created by Christopher Caudle, passionate foodie and recently trained chef.
The clue for the night is in the name. Eight guests come together around one table to enjoy a beautiful dinner prepared and served by Christopher in his home. The location is equally beautiful. Situated in Rotherhithe village on the Thames, guests can enjoy a glass of fizz on the terrace before sitting down to dinner.
Food and cooking have become ingrained within Christopher’s daily life, a consuming passion that continues to grow. Whether at home or in a restaurant, Christopher is constantly inspired by different cuisines, enabling his creativity to flourish.
Christopher decided to follow his passion at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, where Darina Allen and her family taught him an A-Z of culinary practices and skills, as well as the importance of provenance and small-scale food production.
On his return to London with his Diploma from Ballymaloe, Christopher and two friends set up La Cucina Futurista in Dalston, a pop-up restaurant paying homage to Italian art movement, Futurism. Running for six nights, over 200 diners were treated to a menu inspired by the art movement’s call for a multi-sensory dining experience.
Following the success of Cucina Futurista, Christopher decided to stage at the famous Italian restaurant Bocca di Lupo in the heart of Soho, London. Bocca di Lupo offered him a permanent position as chef de partie where he currently works.
Previously, Christopher worked as a PR consultant in London for 10 years before deciding to follow his real passion, food.
Christopher draws on the flavours and cooking principles of Mediterranean cuisine, applying these to simple, yet beautifully presented dishes, packed with flavour. Whether preparing an English picnic hamper or an Italian feast, Christopher has access to some of the best food suppliers in London and ensures only the freshest and seasonal produce is used.
In collaboration with one of London’s top sommeliers, Christopher can also recommend and provide perfectly matched wines to his food.
