I'm Ana, I'm from Galicia, Spain and I grew up in a house where, typically in Spain, the kitchen was the centre of everything, it was never empty, it was where people came together. Food has always been really important in my family and growing up in Vigo, fish and seafood was a regular on the menu. Whether we were shopping for bread, meat or vegetables, we wouldn't think anything of travelling kilometres for good food and ingredients. As far as cooking is concerned, my mother has always been my true inspiration. She was an incredible cook and everybody knew her. She encouraged me to cook and taught me with tireless enthusiasm. I learnt how to appreciate good food from an early age, the importance of where it came from and how it was produced. I love sharing my experiences of Spanish food with people
