Achar (Nyonya veggie pickles with spice paste)
Chwee Kueh (Steamed rice cake with spicy radish toppings)
Pulut Panggang (Chargrilled Spicy shrimps in glutinous rice rolls)
My signature Ox Cheek Rendang (Slow cooked ox cheek in spice paste and coconut milk)
Sambal Babi (Spicy Pork belly in piquant sauce)
Sayur Lodeh (Mixed vegetables in spicy coconut gravy)
Nasi Ulam (Nyonya Aromatic Herbed Rice)
.....plus a few Nyonya kuihs/puddings to round things off.
This is a BYOB event so feel free to bring along any drinks that tickle your fancy.
Expect loads of food and do come hungry...you have been warned.

Wonderful host and tummy-rubbingly good comfort food

Jason, the host, went out of his way to make everyone at home and explained the courses etc every step of the way. Although everything was pretty good,I'd say that for me, the winners were the chwee kueh, nasi ulam, ox cheek rendang, sambal babi, apom balik (OMG) and kueh salat (perfect taste and texture). I miss Singaporean food and this meal really hit the spot. Even my picky husband, who doesn't normally like Asian food, enjoyed the meal. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, Jason! We'll definitely be back.
