In this refreshing and hands on class you will have the opportunity to learn the basics and the traditional cooking techniques in the informal setting of my kitchen in Sutton, Surrey.
You will learn to balance the flavours by combining the spices and herbs which will produce amazing food using simple everyday ingredients. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions during the class, as you will have an added benefit of having the teacher for yourself guiding and explaining the procedure with you throughout the class.
We will talk you through the class menu and give a general introduction to the spices being used. You will then start cooking under the expert tuition of MasterChef 2014 Quarter Finalist Rani; learning everything you need to know to enable you to create an authentic Indian meal.
You will learn the following popular Indian street food:
- Batata Vada (tempered potatoes fried in a gram flour coating),
- Onion Pakora
- Lamb Samosa

- Introduction to spices
- Information on sourcing and storing spices
- Tips for substituting ingredients
- Tips on cooking the food faster

You will taste the food as we go, and you will take away the food to share with your family and friends enough for 2 people.
All the ingredients, recipes, containers and apron for the class will be supplied. This class is suitable for beginners to intermediate students.
It is an excellent special occasion gift for your loved ones. Alternatively, a great opportunity for you to learn your favourite dishes.
Participants must be aged 16 and over.
