This hands on class offers you the opportunity to learn the basics and the traditional cooking techniques in the relaxed and informal atmosphere of my kitchen.

You will learn to balance the flavours by combining the spices and herbs which will produce amazing food using simple everyday ingredients. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions during the class, as you will have an added benefit of having the teacher guiding and explaining the procedure with you throughout the class.

We will give you a general introduction to the spices being used. You will then start cooking under the expert tuition of MasterChef 2014 Quarter Finalist Rani; learning everything you need to know to enable you to create an authentic Indian meal, classes include all ingredients, utensils, aprons for the class, recipes and information on the use of herbs and spices. You will taste the food as we go and will also be given the sample of the food that you have created during the lesson enough for two people and hopefully the skills to last you a lifetime.

Recipes, apron for the use in the class, containers for the food to takeaway enough for 2 people will be also provided.

Ever wished to make the restaurant style soft and delicious naans to scoop off the curries at the comfort of your home? And, to learn the popular & healthy Indian breakfast item; Aloo paratha?

This class provides you the opportunity to learn making these goodies yourself! 

You will learn to cook restaurant style breads and a popular curry to accompany.

1) Butter Naan (leavened bread)

​2) Aloo Paratha (stuffed bread)

​3) Chapati (unleavened staple bread)

4) Chicken Jalfrezi

  1. Making a restaurant quality Indian breads at home without the need for a tandoor   
  2. Making a delicious curry base from scratch
  3. Marinating technique
  4. Serving suggestions
  5. Preparing ginger and garlic pastes
  6. Introduction to spices
  7. Information on sourcing and storing spices
  8. Tips for substituting ingredients
  9. Tips on cooking the food faster
  10. Basic knife skills and kitchen/food safety information
