¡Hola!

We are Laura & Alejandra, the chefs and hosts of this pop up supperclub. We are originally from Argentina, food lovers and passionate about hospitality.

We would like to show you a piece of our country through the tastes of Argentinian food: empanadas, locro, dulce de leche, membrillo and the typical Argentinian wines, Malbec and Torrontés.

Locro is a thick stew eaten during ‘fiestas patrias’ (patriotic holidays) and social events. Locro is a traditional South American food popular in the countries that lie along the Andes Mountains which was eaten by the native peoples of South America before the Spanish colonisation. It is typically served with bread and may also be served with a spicy sauce on the side. The typical Argentine locro is based on corn and white beans. Some type of meat is almost always present: this is Argentina after all!

There are many different kinds of empanadas. They are made from pastry and contain a variety of fillings such as meat, chicken, vegetables, cheese and so on. They can be fried or oven cooked but for this ‘fiesta’ they will be oven cooked.

Dulce de Leche is a traditional Argentinian dessert made by caramelizing sugar in milk. It’s a little like caramel but much tastier. It will be served with pancakes.

We will also be trying queso con membrillo or cheese with quince. This is also a very traditional Argentinian dessert.

Of course Malbec needs no introduction these days but for those who prefer white wine, have you tried Torrontés yet? If not you are going to love this Northern Argentinian white.

In the Argentinian night you will be able to try:

·  3 different kinds of empanadas

·  Salad

·  A substantial bowl of Locro

·  1 Large glass Malbec (red wine)

·  1 Large glass of Torrontes (white wine)

·  Queso & membrillo and pancake with dulce de leche

You need to book in advance, so make a booking now!

Tickets are £28 (booking fee of £1.83 already included).

This was a great Argentinian theme night. Firstly the food was excellent, home cooked food with really nice wines. Secondly the evening was a great way to meet new and friendly people and we made some new friends. When is the next one please?

Absolutely Fabulous!

It was the perfect place and the perfect food. The quality of the traditional Argentine's food (empanadas, locro, vigilante and panqueque de dulce de leche) were very good. All those served with a very good Argentine's wine.
Definitely I would join again.
