Take a secluded urban green space, sow and grow a host of vegetables, herbs and flowers. Fire up a wood-burning stove or two , gently smoke something tasty overnight, open a bottle of something special…Welcome to our secret garden...
With one foot on Brixton hill and one on Crete, sample flame scorched octopus, skordalia, wild greens, tzatziki and lamb cooked with aromatic herbs from our very own mountain in miniature.
We’ll also serve up elements from our tiny garden smokery along with garden grown salads, homemade ice-creams, our own soft cheeses and all the cordials, pickles and preserves you’d expect from Cornercopia's larder.
Our ‘Secret Garden’ is an oasis of green hidden behind houses and rescued from developers. This is Brixton Cornercopia's kitchen garden, a constant source of inspiration and a major influence on our approach to food and eating. We will present three themes over five dates on alternate Sunday afternoons - This event has a Brixton meets Crete theme. Other events are:

Useful stuff to know
These are small events with places are restricted to 16 per event
Seating will be set throughout the garden, with tables for 2, 4 and 6
Arrivals at 1.30, food served at 2pm.
We will send you a map to show where the 'secret garden' is located and you will enter the garden through a wooden door and little pathway. Cocktails or aperitifs will be served on arrival, however the events are otherwise BYO and we will post suggestions of what you might like to bring along nearer each event date.
An omnivorous appetite is required as we regret we are unable to meet any special dietary requirements.
In the event of rain calling off play we will move indoors (the garden is behind our house) and the menu may change accordingly.
