Holi is the festival of colours celebrated in India. Come March spring arrives in the sub continent after a harsh Himalayan winter (North and North East). People are in the mood to celebrate. And celebrate they do with colours, water balloons, music and of course good food and lots of drinks.
This Holi we are bringing you a specially curated vegetarian feast from the kitchens and streets of North India. It may be too cold to douse in coloured water, but just perfect for this indulgent lunch.

Dahi Bhalla (V) ~ This famous chaat is a perfect medley of sweet, sour and spicy flavours
Pani Puri (V) ~ Straight from the bazaars of Delhi, this is perhaps one of the most popular street foods of india
Ram Ladoo (V) ~ Lentil fritters with a generous dash of spicy coriander chutney and fine radish shavings
The Great Holi Thali - a selection of curries, rice and bread served the traditional way
Shahi Malai Kofta (V)~ Homemade stuffed paneer balls in a rich gravy, fit for the royals
Paanch Mel Daal (V) ~ Five different lentils slow cooked together with heady spices and ghee
Phool Gobi ki Sabzi (V) ~ A simple cauliflower number, lightly spiced but without any compromise on flavour
Jeera Rice (V)~ Fragrant basmatic rice cooked with cumin, garam masala and ghee
Hare Matar ki Poori (V)~ Fried bread stuffed with green pea filling
Aloo Rasa (V) ~ This potato curry accompanies the fried bread
Cucumber Raita (V) ~ Thick & creamy yogurt, mixed with cucumber, to balance the rich dishes
